About the Journal

Adhyasta: Journal of Law and Social Justice is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Afkaruna Journal Publisher. The journal is published twice a year, in March and September. It focuses on Islamic law and its relationship with social justice, legal reform, public policy, and contemporary legal developments. The journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, and methodological studies addressing Islamic jurisprudence, Islamic family law, Islamic economic law, Islamic criminal law, and the application of Islamic legal principles in contemporary society. It also encourages interdisciplinary research exploring the intersection of Islamic law with constitutional law, human rights, governance, and socio-legal issues. The journal aims to advance Islamic legal scholarship and contribute to the development of justice-oriented legal thought and practices.
